New spots highlight Beshear’s commitment to teacher pay raises and universal pre-K, while Cameron backed cuts to pensions and supports a voucher scheme that would divert money from public schools LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Today, Gov. Andy Beshear’s campaign released two new ads — “Heroes” and “No Comparison” — that highlight his pro-public education agenda to raise teacher pay and implement universal pre-K – while Cameron has backed Bevin’s illegal cuts to teacher pensions and is supporting a voucher scheme that would divert tax dollars from public schools to unaccountable private ones. “While Governor Andy Beshear supports raising pay for educators and providing universal pre-K for all Kentucky students, Daniel Cameron is backing a reckless anti-public education agenda that would send our tax dollars into unaccountable private schools,” said campaign manager Eric Hyers. “Kentuckians deserve a leader who will stand up for public education and understands that public schools are the backbone of communities across the Commonwealth. Andy Beshear believes that teachers are heroes who help our kids succeed. Daniel Cameron would undermine parents, teachers, and Kentucky public schools.” Watch the ad “Heroes” here and the ad “No Comparison” here.
