From the Beshear-Coleman campaign: State Rep. Angie Hatton: "Matt Bevin is poking taxpayers in the eye with his use of the state plane"

Hi all - I just wanted to pass along that State Representative Angie Hatton is slamming Matt Bevin following multiple new Courier-Journal reports today detailing how the governor's secretive use of the state plane has excessively focused on raising campaign donations. Recently, Hatton introduced legislation to "add new disclosure requirements on a governor's use of state-owned aircraft for personal or political purposes."

State Rep. Hatton said: "Matt Bevin is poking taxpayers in the eye with his use of the state plane. Reports are saying he's spent 244 days on the state plane and used it to raise nearly $1 million in campaign donations. Those flights on our plane cost $678,225." 

She continued, "Kentuckians work hard and deserve better. But Bevin is treating THEIR state plane like a private air service. This is exactly why I introduced legislation to boost transparency and crack down on Bevin's insulting use of the state plane."
