One last reminder to encourage your members to vote on Election Day if they have not already.
The Endorsed Candidate List is years in the making. We have been tracking the voting records of incumbents for many years to make determinations based on their votes on labor issues that will affect our union members and their families.
For new candidates, a questionnaire was sent by the Kentucky State AFL-CIO to every candidate in the state and in federal races. For those candidates that did not reply, a follow-up questionnaire was sent. The Endorsed Candidate list was based on the questionnaires returned with commitments to stand with our members on the issues important to us.
We did not endorse in every race and the list is made up of Democrats, Republicans and Independents.
The Kentucky State BCTC Executive Board made the decisions to endorse these candidates and requests our members consider these based on the research done to protect our members interests.
