The thought of adopting a dog has been on Kasey Mand’s mind for a while, but she’s been putting it off. Her family already has a dog and there wasn’t much free time to give attention to a second one.
But when her daughter brought up the idea of adopting a dog during the coronavirus pandemic, there wasn’t a better time to do it.
A few weeks later, Mand applied to adopt a dog at Southern Indiana Animal Rescue and got approved in late April. Now, the family enjoys the company of two dogs.
