From The Detroit Free Press: Fearful grocery workers: Customers need to wear masks, gloves, keep distance

Grocery and food workers across the U.S. are gripped by anxiety and stress over working amid the coronavirus pandemic, their union learned in a recent survey.

In a nationwide teleconference  Monday by the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW), the workers said those fears are real.

Workers and the union said they are asking community leaders, government officials and customers to help keep them and each other safe. Workers say customers need to step up efforts in wearing masks, gloves and observing social distancing.
