FOP, KPFF and KEA will rally in Louisville Tuesday morning to urge McConnell to back S. 597

Attached is the Media Advisory for the Kentucky FOP, Kentucky Fire Fighters and Kentucky Education Association Rally scheduled for Tuesday December 10th at 11:00 AM to call on Senator McConnell to support and lead Senate passage of S. 597, Repeal of WEP/GPO. Also attached is a copy of the joint letter sent to Sen. McConnell.
The Rally will be held at Cochran Elementary School, 500 W. Gaulbert Avenue, Louisville, KY 40208. Members, representatives and leaders of the FOP, KPFF and KEA will gather along with friends and supporters of the effort to Repeal WEP/GPO. (In case of inclement weather, location will be the Louisville Main Public Library, 301 York Street, 40203.
Speakers will include Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police President Berl Perdue, Jr., Kentucky Professional Fire Fighters President Joe Baer and Kentucky Education Association President Eddie Campbell. Uniformed Police Officers and Fire Fighters will be in attendance flanked by squad cars and firetrucks.
As you are aware the National WEP/GPO Repeal Task Force and our National Unions will be holding a Rally in Washington, DC the day after the Kentucky Rally, Wednesday, December 11, at 11:30 AM in the Upper Senate Park at the US Capitol. A copy of that flyer is also attached.
