Frankfort, Ky.—Today, Governor Andy Beshear endorsed John Stovall’s state legislative campaign in House District 37.

“John Stovall is a proven leader who has spent his entire career fighting for Kentucky’s working families,” said Governor Andy Beshear. “In the General Assembly, John would be a tireless advocate for Kentuckians who need him there the most.”

“Kentucky deserves more leaders who come to Frankfort ready to fight for working people,” said John Stovall, Democratic candidate in House District 37. “I’ve fought for workers and their livelihoods for decades, and I’m running to be a strong voice for middle-class Kentuckians in the General Assembly.”

A lifelong Kentuckian and former Army reservist, John Stovall worked for the Jefferson County School Board for nearly thirty years until joining the Teamsters and eventually becoming President of Local 783. As a candidate for State Representative, John is focused on delivering more good-paying jobs, expanding access to health care, protecting workers and their pensions, and supporting investments in our public schools.

John Stovall has been endorsed by a number of organizations across Kentucky, including the Kentucky State AFL-CIO, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, UAW KY State CAP, and Better Schools Kentucky, the PAC representing the Jefferson County Teachers Association.
