Graves Dems present 'Music and Mimosas' as new Fancy Farm picnic kickoff

“This is not your grandfather’s pre-Fancy Farm Democratic breakfast,” promises Tom Waldrop of Mayfield, Graves County Democratic Party chair.

It’s a brunch the local party is billing as “Music and Mimosas.” (Mayfield is “wet” though Fancy Farm’s still not.)

The feed, which goes from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will feature live music and other entertainment in a covered pavilion at Carr’s Steakhouse, 213 Broadway.

“Traditionally, the Graves County Democratic Party hosted an 8:30 a.m. breakfast at Mayfield High School,” Waldrop said. “It was over around 10, which left quite a bit of lag time for people going to the picnic to hear the speaking, which starts at 2.”
