Hope, excitement, anxiety…how ya feeling?

EDITOR'S NOTE: The Kentucky State AFL-CIO unanimously endorsed Democrat Erin Marshall over Republican Rep. James Comer, who is one of the mostanti-union members of Congress.

Folks, it’s Election Day and the polls are officially open!

Like you, I’m feeling so many emotions right now – hope, excitement, anxiety. But most importantly, I’m feeling proud.

I’m incredibly proud of the campaign I’ve run and the work we did on the ground connecting with members of the community and talking to the voters of Kentucky’s 1st District about what’s at stake today.

Do you know what else I’m proud of? The fact that millions of people all across the country have already turned out to vote early in this election for what could very possibly be a historic first – electing Kamala Harris, a woman of color, to be our next president.

On top of that, exit polls over the last week have overwhelmingly shown that women are driving the turnout by showing up in record numbers to cast their ballots in support of Kamala, freedom and reproductive rights, and a better future for our families and communities. I’m optimistic that women – our stories, our rage, our hope, and our collective organizing – are going to carry us to victory.

But we will only win if we continue to show up through the end of the day! So please, don’t forget to vote if you haven’t done so already, and make sure to tell all your friends and family to do the same.

Thank you so much for your support, today and every day.

-Erin
