KDP Applauds Selection of Governor Tim Walz as Running Mate

Frankfort, Ky.—Today, KDP Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement after Vice President Kamala Harris selected Governor Tim Walz as her running mate in the 2024 presidential election. 

“Through years of service in public school classrooms and as a congressman and governor, Governor Walz has worked to make our country a better place and understands the kitchen table issues that matter most to Americans. He’s a devoted champion for working families, and has protected access to affordable health care, cut child poverty, protected reproductive rights, guaranteed meals for kids in public schools, and more.

“Governor Walz will be an exceptional running mate and an invaluable partner to Vice President Kamala Harris as she finishes the job that President Biden started. This November, Kentucky Democrats are ready to defeat Donald Trump again and send the Harris-Walz ticket to the White House.”
