From the KDP: ICYMI: ‘Bullied by Bevin’ Picnic Hosted By Republican State Senator Draws Nearly 150 People
KENTUCKY DEMOCRATIC PARTY
Frankfort, KY — In case you missed it, this weekend Kentuckians who have been on the receiving end of Matt Bevin’s nasty insults and bullying came together for a ‘Bullied by Bevin’ picnic, hosted by Republican State Senator Dan Seum.
As WDRB reports:
"Nearly 150 people, all of whom were there to see to it that Gov. Matt Bevin doesn't get reelected, gathered under a large tent in Seum's backyard… Anyone could attend the picnic – except Bevin.”
According to WDRB:
“Several in the audience showed support for Bevin’s Democratic challenger, Andy Beshear. Not surprisingly, many were teachers upset about pensions.
‘This is our money, and we want to make sure we receive it when we’ve done our long years of teaching,’ said Terri Farmer, a teacher in Jefferson County Public Schools.”
“With just over a month until Election Day, Matt Bevin can't run from his record of insulting and bullying teachers – and even a Republican State Senator is still calling him out,” said Marisa McNee, spokesperson for the Kentucky Democratic Party. “Instead of solving the problems facing working families, Bevin has only made things worse, attacking our friends, families and neighbors along the way. Kentuckians are sick and tired of the bullying, and ready for a governor who will put our families first.”
