Frankfort, Ky. -- Roughly a year out from the 2022 filing deadline for his re-election, Senator Rand Paul has kicked off what appears to be a national tour with groups and individuals who supported the January 6 insurrection.

The first leg of his tour was this past Sunday with Lauren Boebert. Boebert is well-known for her inflammatory rhetoric and odd-ball behavior in the Nation’s Capitol. The Denver Post has chided Boebert for her words and actions leading up to and after the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and has called for an investigation into her actions leading up to the event.

The next stop on Paul’s Insurrectionist Tour was also announced over the weekend.

According to journalist Nancy Levine, Paul is scheduled to speak to a Women for America First summit being held April 8-11 in Florida. This group were the permit holders for the January 6 “rally” that turned out to be an insurrectionist attack on the U.S. Capitol.

In a statement, Kentucky Democratic Party spokesperson Marisa McNee said Rand Paul has once again proven that his own selfish ambitions come before Kentucky.

“While portions of Kentucky were once again hit with devastating flooding over the weekend, Rand Paul was partying in Colorado in a desperate attempt to position himself to run for president again. He continues to pursue his own selfish ambitions rather than focus on his constituents. It’s clear Rand Paul does not care about Kentucky.”
