Frankfort, Ky. - Today–two months out from Election Day–Daniel Cameron’s campaign is floundering. Just this week, Inside Elections shifted the race from a “Toss-Up” to “Tilt Democratic” and new polling was released showing that Governor Beshear’s lead has grown to nine points, 51% to 42%. This comes after millions of dollars have been spent by Cameron and his allies on misleading, extreme, and even debunked ads.

“It’s clear that Daniel Cameron’s campaign of division and extremism isn’t resonating with Kentucky voters. No matter how many millions of dollars the pro-school voucher special interests and other PACs pump into Kentucky to prop up his campaign, voters aren’t interested in an anti-public education, anti-pension, anti-healthcare governor,” said Kentucky Democratic Party spokesperson Anna Breedlove. “Between tanking polling, changes in race rating, and a lack of energy at events, I wouldn’t want to bet on Cameron heading into the final 60 days.”
