We received Brother Stratton's obituary from Dustin Reindstedler today:

Wlliam Curtis Stratton, 59, born on June 17, 1964, was the first born to Brenda Catherine Pool of Louisville, KY. On March 30, 2024, he departed this life in peace with Hospice and his beloved family by his side. Curtis attended Pleasure Ridge Park High School and graduated in 1982. After graduation he entered into the work force, then marriage and life. In 1984, Curtis accepted a temporary position at Louisville Gas & Electric as a janitor, which led to a career of 35 years as a dedicated employee in the Gas Construction Maintenance Department and 20 plus years as a devoted IBEW 2100 union member, business manager and president. Curtis was active in many civic and community organizations with work and children, devoting time to be their support coach which he cherished. He loved LIVE music, Dallas football, golf, grilling his famous burgers, taking long rides to nowhere, trying new foodie places, traveling to new destinations, his grandchildren, calling him "POPS", but most of all he loved his family! Curtis would always help anyone in need and not expect anything in return. "The Man" "The Myth" "The Legend"

He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Catherine Smiley (Gary) and his aunts, Rosemary Hubbard and Peggy Root.

Curtis leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Lisa Stratton; they were united in marriage in 2012 on the island Curacao; son, Jacob (Kaitlin) Stratton; daughters, Haley (Casey) Ford and Hayley (Hunter) O'Dell; grandchildren, Elias James, Micah Wiley Stratton and Lorelei Catherine Ford; brother, David Stratton; uncle, Jerome (Sherrie) Pool; aunt, Margaret (Napoleon) Edmonson; niece, Aimee Stratton; nephew, Dean Stratton; fur babies, Dahvie, Seamus, Ali and Tater; cousins and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 12pm-4pm with a celebration of Curtis's life beginning at 4pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
