Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin will get an assist from the White House this month in his bid for another four-year term.

Vice President Mike Pence will be in the Bluegrass State on March 8 as the keynote speaker for a Bevin campaign fundraiser, according to a source familiar with the event. The fundraiser, where tickets will cost $1,000, will take place at the Aviation Museum in Lexington.

Bevin, a Republican, has a longstanding friendship with Pence, who served as neighboring Indiana's governor before being selected as President Donald Trump's running mate in 2016. Bevin and Pence have an ideological kinship, especially on social issues.
