- I returned to join striking autoworkers on the picket line in Detroit this week, alongside many unions showing the labor movement’s solidarity and support in their fight with the Big Three automakers. These striking workers, members of the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW), are demanding a share in the wealth they help create!
- President Biden joined the picket line this week, becoming the first president in history to show such support for striking workers. Once again, Biden proved that he’s the most pro-union president in our lifetimes, which is why we’ve endorsed him for reelection.
- Meanwhile, Donald Trump visited Michigan, claiming to stand with union members. He held his farcical rally at a nonunion facility, which is no surprise.
- Trump has a record of breaking his promises to working people. Let’s be clear: His record was catastrophic to working people. He spent four years in office weakening unions and working people while pushing tax giveaways for the wealthiest Americans.
- Working people know the difference. We know who has our backs. We stand with President Biden.
