RE: Area strikes

Dear Executive Board,

               This seems to be the summer of strikes where workers around Kentucky are exercising their rights and showing their strength.  As always, we appreciate the amount of solidarity each union has shown to each other.  IBEW and UA members are still on strike at Monument Chemical in Brandenburg and you are still encouraged to stop by.  Amazon workers in northern Kentucky are still at it.  As of Friday, CWA went out across Kentucky (new details below) and as of this morning, Machinists went out in Louisville (new details below).  Jeff, Liles, and I have just met and coordinated schedules and logistics for the week.  We plan to stop by each location at some point this week individually as well as drop off supplies.  We hope you will share this information with your affiliates and members and encourage them to show solidarity.

The Local Lodge 830 Machinist at Bae Systems voted to strike Sunday and is currently on the Picket Line at Bae Systems located at 163 Rochester Dr Louisville, Ky. We have 240 members that voted to strike due to disparities of wages between workers and contractors doing the same work, along with low wage increases for a 5 year contract. We would like to request any support on Thursday at the picket line.

STRIKE ALERT: CWA Local 3310 members are on a ULP Strike 

CWA 3310 members are on an Unfair Labor Practice Strike, due to the actions of AT&T. These members are on strike during daytime hours every day, approximately 6am to 7pm at the following locations: That doesn't include mobility workers.

AT&T and CWA 3310 have been in negotiations for months and the company has done some things to cause an unfair labor practice strike.
