The United Mineworkers of America have invited Kentucky trade unionists to attend their major rally in McCalla, AL on Wednesday, April 6th. The UMWA will sponsor the bus, meals and overnight accommodations for those who would like to go to Alabama to the rally and support the 1100 UMWA miners on strike.
We are coordinating hotel rooms and accommodations with the UMWA and would appreciate if you would respond as soon as possible.
The bus is scheduled to leave from Louisville, KY at 1:30 pm (EDT) and will begin loading at 1:00 pm.
The bus ride to the hotel is about 6 hours. The rally will take place on Wednesday, April 6th beginning at 11:00 am CDT. Following the rally the bus will depart for Louisville.
