On Saturday, May 31, 2025, activists in over 30 cities rallied to demand that all profit be removed from the health care system and that national single payer legislation, improved Medicare for All, be placed on the nation’s agenda.
The National Day of Action, initiated by National Single Payer, was cosponsored by over 140 organizations.

“Enough to a system that lets billionaires profit off our pain. Enough to a health care industry that’s run like a hedge fund. Enough to a government that listens to lobbyists before it listens to working class people.
“We are here to demand Medicare for All—not as a luxury, not as some dream—but as a basic right.”
Dustin Reinstedler, President, Kentucky State AFL-CIO, May 31, 2025
