A veteran Teamster and a Kentucky State AFL-CIO Youth Labor Award recipient have been elected to the Kentucky Democratic Party's State Central Executive Committee.
Stovall is president of Louisville-based Teamsters Local 783, secretary-treasurer for Teamsters Joint Council 94 and recording secretary for the Greater Louisville Central Labor Council.
Hurt, from Grand Rivers, is an honorary delegate to the Paducah-based Western Kentucky AFL-CIO Area Council. He received the youth labor award at the 2017 Kentucky State AFL-CIO convention in Louisville.
Stovall and Hurt were voted to the committee during Saturday's virtual KDP convention. Stovall is state at-large member. Hurt is part of the First Congressional District group.
