From the Stumbo for AG campaign: My duty (and frankly, my pleasure)
The times? Well, for all that they change, you can bet that a few things aren't all that different.
Take people trying to rip you off. Scammers.
They're not just going to say, "You know what, I've had enough of scamming. I'm good," and go away by themselves.
That's where an attorney general comes in. Someone who won't back down or give up the fight.
My opponent showed at our first televised debate this week that his duty is to corporations and special interests, not protecting the people
When I served Kentucky before, it was my duty (and frankly, my pleasure) to drag scammers to the courts, to shine a light on them, to hold them accountable.
And you can bet that, if you give me the privilege of serving me again, that's just one of the ways I'll go right to work for you.
The opioid crisis? Just one example. Anyone who tries to rip off the people of Kentucky's going to have to deal with me. If elected, I'll put the full weight of the attorney general's office into fighting scams, protecting the people of Kentucky, and taking on corruption wherever it's found.
That's where you come in. This isn't possible without you.
