From Team AFL-CIO: Let’s get this over the finish line

Union members know: A picket line isn’t just about you. It’s about the person next to you and the person next to them. It’s about workers who haven’t even been born yet—so that they might have something better because we came together and did the work today, when it counted most.

That’s what this election is about. It’s our families and livelihoods that are on the line. It’s our jobs on the line. It’s our unions and our futures on the line.

Vice President Kamala Harris and our union brother Tim Walz will fight for our unions and our right to organize. They’ve always had our backs, and now we need to have theirs.

Please do three things before you go to bed tonight:

  1. If you haven’t already voted, look up your polling location—and double or triple check. Make a plan now to vote tomorrow before work, during lunch, after your shift, or whenever you can—just make sure you vote.

  2. Remind your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to vote. Send a text, post on Facebook or Instagram, or make a call. This will be a very close election, and we can't take anything for granted. Just remind them what’s at stake for our jobs and unions at the ballot box. Send them to BetterInAUnion.org/plan.

  3. Find time to volunteer. We still need people to knock on doors, make phone calls, and remind union members and their families to vote. Even if you only have an hour or two, you can make a difference.

The path to victory on Election Day is through America’s union halls—and we’re incredibly proud of everything our unions and union members have done to dig deep and make sure Kamala Harris, Tim Walz and their pro-worker agenda win big.

Let's get this over the finish line.

In solidarity and thanks,

Team AFL-CIO
