From the Tennessee AFL-CIO:While we are fortunate that there are currently no reports of serious injuries as a result of the tornados and strong storms that tore through Middle Tennessee early this morning, the images and death toll we are seeing out of Kentucky and the widespread destruction in other neighboring states are absolutely heartbreaking. Our hearts and prayers are particularly with the Kentucky State AFL-CIO and its members who were affected.If you or a fellow union member sustained damage to your home or were impacted by these storms, please e-mail pwhite@tnaflcio.org as soon as possible so that we can begin activating our Disaster Relief Fund. Whether financially or through service, we are ready to assist in whatever ways may be needed or helpful.
