The AFL-CIO, the nation’s largest federation of labor unions, representing some 12.5 million members, announced they are endorsing Harris on Monday night. “From day one, Vice President Harris has been a true partner in leading the most pro-labor administration in history,” said AFL-CIO president Liz Shuler in statement, adding that with Harris in office, “together we’ll continue to build on the powerful legacy of the Biden-Harris administration.”

The AFL-CIO endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential bid on Monday night, following nods by numerous individual unions. Last year, they endorsed the Biden-Harris campaign when President Joe Biden was atop the ticket. Liz Shuler, president of the powerful labor umbrella group, in a statement called Harris "a true partner in leading the most pro-labor administration in history." The group, which represents 60 unions and 12.5 million workers, has significant organizational muscle to throw behind Harris' campaign. "The AFL-CIO is proud of our early and steadfast support for the Biden-Harris administration, and now we'll ratchet up our mass mobilization of union workers to elect Vice President Harris as president," Shuler said.
