Thanks to Jeff Wiggins for sending us this.

General Motors Co.’s decision to slash production in three states is a slap in the face to every worker and community who supported the company through its financial crisis. The entire labor movement stands in solidarity with our brothers and sisters at the UAW, and we will fight this decision with everything we’ve got.

GM’s announcement is devastating, but the labor movement isn’t taking this news sitting down. We will use every tool at our disposal to win this fight.

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka (UMWA), UAW Vice President and Director of the UAW-GM Department Terry Dittes and AFL-CIO Policy Director Damon Silvers are speaking out and blasting GM’s decision.
