Donald Trump made 30,573 false or misleading statements while he was president, according to a Washington Post tally.

He continued his barrage of lies on the campaign trail, repeatedly denying any connection to Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation orchestrated blueprint for his second term. “I have nothing to do with Project 2025,” he vowed in his debate with Vice President Kamala Harris. “I haven’t read it. I don’t want to read it purposely. I’m not going to read it.”

He added, “This was a group of people that got together, they came up with some ideas, I guess some good, some bad, but it makes no difference. I have nothing to do [with it].”

Never mind that a slew folks who helped write the plan had been members of the Trump administration. The president-elect has picked two contributors for his new administration.

Trump named Tom Homan, a former border patrol agent who previously served as acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as his 'border czar,'" wroteUSA Today's BrieAnna J. Frank. "...It’s not an official job title at the Department of Homeland Security, but it means Homan will oversee the “mass deportation” effort Trump has pledged to implement in his second presidency.

"Homan, a visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation, is listed as a contributor to Project 2025. Also listed as a contributor is former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, whom Trump tapped to serve as CIA director."
