Yates fund-raiser scheduled for Wednesday in Louisville

'Tis the season for candidate fund-raisers, including one for Democratic state Sen. David Yates from 5:30 to 7 p.m., local time, Wednesday, at the home of Sen. and Mrs. Gerald Neal, 4711 Brewster Ave., Louisville.

Yates, endorsed for reelection by the Kentucky State AFL-CIO, represents Senate District 37, which encompasses part of Jefferson County. 

Hosts for the event include Senate Leader Neal and Sens. Karen Berg, Cassie Chambers Armstrong and Denise Harper Angel, all of whom represent Jefferson County districts, and Sen. Reggie Thomas from Fayette County. Like Yates, the five lawmakers are state AFL-CIO-endorsed Democrats.
