'You don't have to be partisan to vote Democratic'

All my "thug" teacher friends will be voting for Andy Beshear.

After all the insults Gov. Matt Bevin has thrown in the path of teachers, plus more mandates, no raises and accusations that they are responsible for child molestation, a teacher really would be as stupid as he thinks we are to vote for him.

He will not have to knock me in the head and drag me to the polls. He is so desperate that he is wrapping himself in the corrupt record of Donald Trump.

Bevin keeps claiming that he has saved coal mining in our state.  That is amazing to me after the closing of Murray Mining, Dotiki and a half dozen more mines.  Fewer miners are employed now than when he took office.

He claims there is an economic miracle going on in Kentucky.  Maybe that is why so many people have left eastern Kentucky looking for work, and nearly 40 counties in this state are on the verge of bankruptcy.  God save us from that kind of solvency.

I hope you are going to the polls Tuesday and "hailing the rooster" as a gesture of hope for Kentucky.  You don't have to be partisan to vote Democratic.

All you have to do is believe in education as the true North Star for the future prosperity of our state. College students shouldn't have to mortgage their future to pursue higher education.  Public school students should not be in classes of 35 and 40 because public education is not properly funded.

Four hundred thousand individuals should not lose insurance coverage because the governor has reduced taxes on Fortune 500 companies in our state.  Rural hospitals should not be closed because the uninsured have to use emergency rooms as their primary health care.

Please forgive me for this partisan moment.  However, Tuesday is too important for me to remain silent.
