Alliance for Retired Americans Position Paper on the PRO Act

On February 4, 2021, Representative Bobby Scott (VA) introduced the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, H.R. 842, in the U.S. House of Representatives. Senator Patty Murray (WA) introduced the companion bill, S. 420, in the U.S. Senate on February 24, 2021. This landmark legislation would remove needless barriers for workers to form a union, while protecting workers and strengthening retirement security.

The midterm elections are more than 17 months away but the Kentucky People's Campaign is already targeting the Bluegrass State's junior senator.

"Rand Paul (R)...is a deeply entrenched member, and sometimes ringleader, of the Republican Radical Right," says a People's Campaign fundraising email.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — About 50 union workers and supporters stood in the rain outside Churchill Downs Saturday afternoon, demanding the racetrack agree to a fair contract with its valets as it heads into Kentucky Derby Week.
