Kudos for requesting online your mail-in absentee ballot for the June 23 primary election. But fill it in properly, or it won't get counted.

The ballot comes with step-by-step instructions. Don't rush through them. (We've also posted official instructions from the state board of elections.)

The ballot also comes with a postage-paid envelope addressed to your local county clerk.

Meanwhile, you still haven't clicked on GOVOTEKY.com but really mean to soon? "The road to hades is paved with good intentions" is an old expression. (Okay, the word isn't "hades.")

The clock is ticking. You've got until 11:59 p.m., local time, June 15, to apply online. But there's no time like right now to click on GOVOTEKY.com

It takes two minutes, maybe less. The directions couldn't be easier to follow. There's also an instructional video: KY State Board of Elections-Absentee request video information

"Know someone without access to a computer or smart phone?" asks Liles Taylor, our state AFL-CIO legislative coordinator. "They can call their local county clerk’s office to request their ballot."

Click here to read an excellent guide to the primary from WFPL. Meanwhile, stay tuned for details about how the Nov. 3 general election will come off. That's TBD.
